Ladybird love

Stamp: Elzybells
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Versamark (Tsukineko)
Other: 0.5" circle punch; red pen; clear e.p.
Hello again. It's Saturday, which means Less is More have a new challenge. Today, Chrissie & co are inviting us to use b&w with a little of another colour.
I used Versamark before inking up the stamp with black, so I could emboss the image. I tried it first without embossing & the ladybird's spots got lost.

Pinned Image

The scallops from my scallop punch were too shallow on the bottom of the image for my liking, so I used small circles cut from a Xmas envelope instead.  I stuck them on with temporary adhesive, so I could get the placement exactly right.  I rounded the corner of the image & the card to give a bit  of interest & tie them together.
