Mothers' Day wreath

Stamps: Flower Friend (SSS); Boxes Bags & Tags (PTI); Fanciful Flowers (Elzybells)
Ink: Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves, Lilac Posies (Memento)
Font: Sofia, Narkism
A move slightly away from my comfort zone today, but I think my MiL would prefer this to something more minimal or graphic.
I printed the sentiment & used a Lil' Inkers die as a circle template (told you I'd get a lot of use out of them...), then stamped around it.  This wasn't dumb luck, I practised several times on scrap to make sure everything fitted.  Just for once the final piece is better than the trials!
Might be a bit too busy for LiM this week - perhaps should have used a 5" card base? - but I'll try my luck anyway.

Cheers

Stamps: Lots of Dots (SSS)
Ink: Versamark (Tsukineko)
Dies: Birthday Words (PS); Stitched Mats Squre (Lil' Inkers)
Hi Folks.  I nearly gave up on this idea.  I first tried it with vellum glasses.  DIS-AS-TER.  No matter what I tried, all I could see was glue splodges (any tips gratefully received).  So I slept on it, & remembered some frosted vinyl I had lying around.  Perfick.  The wine glasses were cut on the Silhouette, using an image I found on line.

Capturing my masterpiece on camera proved to be another obstacle.  Turns out that vinyl is as camera-shy as glitter.  Who knew?

Just a note to say hi

Stamps: Scripty Sayings (PS); Lots of Dots (SSS)
Ink: Angel Pink, Rose Bud, Bamboo Leaves, Pear Tart (Memento)
Other: Grosgrain plate (MFT); Tag-along die (Clearly Besotted)
I needed to send a note to someone I haven't seen for ages, & despite all the hours I spend making cards, had nothing in my stash that seemed appropriate.

I did briefly consider buying a miniature envelope die (don't you find you get carried away with dies & forget that you have hands & scissors?) but having successfully cut one freehand, I'm glad I didn't bother.  Although it doesn't show in the photo, the dark pink strip has been embossed to look like grosgrain & that, combined with the cut-out were a direct case from Ardyth's card here.

I added the confetti because things just looked a little too stark without it.

Love ya

Stamp: Scripty Sayings (Paper Smooches)
Font: Courier New
There is usually a bottom on show at some point in our house.  Mostly from a small boy dodging naked in & out of the bathroom, but quite often from my DH as he crouches down stoking the fire, or through the gap in the kitchen bar stool when he is on the computer.  You probably have a terrible vision in your head right now.  Sorry.  Anyway, it has become something of a standing (or not ;)) joke.

So I don't know why I haven't thought of this valentine's card before now.

I found just the right picture by googling 'builder's bum' images.  There were a lot more than I bargained for, so it was not a particularly pleasant exercise!

A lot of faffing about ensued, as I haven't made an interactive card for quite a while now, but I think it was all worth it.

Edit: Have decided to enter into CASology 'Contrast' because of the contrast between the big cursive sentiment & the tiny font on the heart.

Less is More Week 144

Stamps: Be Jolly (Technique Tuesday)
Ink: Versamark (Tsukineko)
Other: Cropadile, 1/4" & 1/8" hole punches; white e.p.
I've been toying with this idea all weekend, but wasn't sure how to go about it, so I decided to make a template first.  I used a SpellBinders banner to draw a triangle, then randomly punched a variety of hole sizes.  Using this as a stencil, I then marked where the hole should go in the dark card.
Top tip: find out how far in your hole punch can go before deciding you need a hole right there.  Ask me how I know...

PS I had some 'help' with this photo:

Stamps: Bitty Banners (WM); Elzybells

Other: tree die (Impression Obsession)
Yup, another 4 trees card.  This was actually the very first one I made, which inspired the others (here & here).

Stamps: Basic Borders (Mama Elephant)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Other: Tiny Hearts Die (SSS); Liquid Pearls (Ranger)
Made this card a few weeks ago as an experiment.  Didn't like it at first, but it's funny how you view things differently over a few days.
Super simple to make.  Created the sentiment with a variety of fonts (in Silhouette Studio) then just added in the final details.  Great for batch production!

fonts moving down are:
SNF Lollihop

Narkism

Sunshine Poppy

QumpellkaNo12

Zag Bold
