Gingerbread man bunting

Stamps: Little Pieces (SU); Gingerbread Man (Elzybells)
Ink: Versamark (Tsukineko)
Other: white embossing powder, white gel pen
Here is one of my favourite projects from a couple of Christmases ago, when this blog wasn't even a twinkle in anyone's eye.  I love gingham & kraft together, to me, it just screams Christmas.

It was very simple to make, triangles of red & gingham (a freebie from Activity Village), a circle punch & a pair of scissors.  Fussy cutting the gingerbread man was losing its appeal by the 50th one (I made a number of strings, packaged them & sold them at a craft fair..), but he is kinda cute.

When the triangles were assembled, I made a template & used my crop-a-dile to make sure the ribbon holes were in the same place on each one.

Another day, another challenge...

CAS-ual Fridays are challenging us to use punches or dies this week.
I did start off by die-cutting the celebrate aperture with the Spellbinders pennants, but it was too big for the card, so I cut it by hand instead.  The rings are punched with a 1.125 & 1.375 inch punches. Always cut the smaller hole first.
It looked a bit too naked, so I added the faux stitching, but not much.

Birthday card storage

So, you've made a whole lot of cards.  Where do you keep them?  In a cat food box of course!

Box covered in Kraft wrapping paper, lined with Amore by Shabby Princess.

Calendar pages were made using another pattern from the same collection, with a table created using MS Publisher.  Dividers are Kraft card from www.annamariedesigns.com.

Make & line an envelope to match your card

This envelope is for the 5 inch square card I posted yesterday.

Cut a square of Kraft paper (I used a manilla suspension file) & score as shown below.

Round all the corners of the square & one corner of the lining piece.  Use temporary adhesive to stick the lining piece in position on one of the envelope flaps.  Draw lines parallel to the Kraft piece on each side, & fold the flap over.

Remove the liner & cut along the lines you have drawn. Stick the liner down to the flap first, then fold over & stick the inside.

Fold & stick the 3 other flaps, ensuring there is no adhesive on the inside of the envelope.
