I've had lots of fun this week playing with my new stash. I was recently lucky enough to win a $50 Simon Says Stamp voucher on the Wednesday Challenge blog, & my haul arrived on Tuesday. Invested almost all of it in dies, which I seem to be gravitating more towards lately - I have far too many 'must have' stamps that haven't yet seen ink... Absolutely love the latest offerings from Paper Smooches. I'm sure I'll be going back for more.
I stamped the white spots first & had to wait a while for them to dry. I have quite a collection of white inks, but have found the best to be WPlus9. Then I cut the piece into curves. Made a template piece the right size first & lined it up against one edge using my scoreboard, then it was easy to make sure all the pieces were the same size. I also numbered them on the back as I cut, to make sure they went back in the same place. For the colour ink coverage I used the back of a giant gingham stamp.
The sentiment is cut from an old piece of packaging. I didn't realise it cut into separate pieces, but that worked out really well for fitting it into the curve.
This was inspired mainly by Marion Vagg's fabby Muse card this week:
